Incheon Metropolitan City and IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Southampton in the UK to establish an extended campus. Southampton University is a founding member of the Russell Group, a consultative body for prestigious universities in the UK, and was first accredited by the late Queen Elizabeth II. It operates a total of eight campuses in the UK, including the Highfield Campus, the Wenchester Campus, and the Malaysian Campus.
